Dr. Maria Mejorado has served thousands of students over a 40-year career working in California’s colleges and universities.
During the first half of her career Maria dedicated herself to coordinating student programs and services at St. Mary’s College, UC Santa Cruz, CSU Chico, American College Testing and CSU Sacramento.
For twenty years after obtaining a doctorate degree, Dr. Mejorado taught in the Bilingual/Multicultural Department in the College of Education at CSU Sacramento.
As a retiree, Dr. Mejorado is launching a new service entitled "IN YOUR CORNER" an educational consultant business while she pursues her passion of helping others through motivational speaking, consulting and writing non-fiction essays and poetry. She is currently writing a memoir.
Dr. Mejorado earned a Ph.D. from the University of California Davis, a Master’s degree from Harvard University and a Bachelor’s degree in English Literature from St. Mary’s College in Moraga, CA.
I learned the importance of teamwork as a child picking grapes and cotton in the Central San Joaquin Valley.
My mother had a firm belief that education ends poverty.
